چکیده
Abstract Background Methods have been developed for preventing delayed bleeding (DB) after gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection (GESD). However, none of the methods can completely prevent DB. We hypothesized that DB could be prevented by a modified search, coagulation, and clipping (MSCC) method patients at low risk combining use polyglycolic acid sheets fibrin glue with MSCC (PMSCC method) high (antibleeding [ABI] strategy). This study assessed technical feasibility this novel strategy. Method investigated 123 lesions in 121 consecutive who underwent GESD Kushiro Rosai Hospital between April 2018 January 2020. The decision continuation or cessation antithrombotic agents was based on Guidelines Gastroenterological Endoscopy Patients Undergoing Antithrombotic Treatment. Results Oral were administered to 28 (22.8%). en bloc R0 resection rate 98.4%. PMSCC performed 114 9 lesions, respectively. median time 16 min, speed (the area divided used) 3.6 cm 2 /10 min. 59 1.3 only procedural adverse event 1 (0.8%) lesions. Conclusions ABI strategy is feasible both those GESD, whereas may necessary reduction time.

Filling and shielding for postoperative gastric perforations of endoscopic submucosal dissection using polyglycolic acid sheets and fibrin glue
BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS Many medical institutions in Japan perform endoscopic mucosal dissection (ESD) to treat early gastric cancer. Perforations can occur during ESD, and clipping has been reported as useful for treating small pinhole perforations. However, it is often difficult to close postoperative perforations because they usually have large diameters, and the muscle layer around the pe...
متن کاملApplication of polyglycolic acid sheets for delayed perforation after endoscopic submucosal dissection of early gastric cancer.
Since being developed and established in Japan, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has been widely used as a standard treatment for early gastric cancer [1]. Delayed perforation is an occasional complication of ESD, and despite its low incidence, it is a serious complication frequently requiring emergency operation [2–4]. Polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets (Neoveil; Gunze Co., Japan), composed ...

BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS The safety and efficacy of the application of polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets with fibrin glue to ulcers induced by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) have not been established in the treatment of lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, in which the influence of digestive fluid and peristalsis may affect treatment, and there may also be a risk of infection. The aims ...
متن کاملPreventing and Controlling Bleeding in Gastric Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection
Although techniques and instruments for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) have improved, bleeding is still the most common complication. Minimizing the occurrence of bleeding is important because blood can interfere with subsequent procedures. Generally, ESD-related bleeding can be divided into intraprocedural and postprocedural bleedings. Postprocedural bleeding can be further classified ...

Background and study aims: Recently, the shielding method with polyglycolic acid (PGA) fabric and fibrin glue (P-F method) has been reported to prevent serious complications after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). However, the effectiveness and mechanism to prevent complications by this method remain unclear and the corresponding basic research has not been fully conducted. Methods and re...
